The Prudential Center mainly serves as the home arena for the New Jersey Devils, a National Hockey League franchise. The center is home court of the NCAA’s Seton Hall Pirates men’s basketball team. The Prudential Center was primarily home of the New Jersey Nets, but the team was sold to real estate developer Bruce Ratner. While considering a potential relocation, the Nets played two preseason games at the Prudential Centre in the fall of 2009. The Nets finished an agreement to relocate to the Prudential Centre following the victory of the preseason games held there. Nets played their last game at Prudential Center. The Nets relocated to the Barclays Center to become the Brooklyn Nets at the starting of the 2012-2-13 NBA season. Women’s national Basketball Association played home games at Prudential Center due to renovations at Madison Square Garden.
